About the Zul'Farrak Boost

Zul'Farrak is a level 41-51 dungeon in Tanaris and one of the most-remembered mid-level instances in Classic Era. The instance is set in an open-air troll city and features the iconic Pyramid Wave event — Sergeant Bly's outpost is besieged by troll waves and the party defends through multiple add waves before fighting forward.

Drops include several class quest items (notably the Hunter Carved Stone Urn quest line) and the Carrot on a Stick trinket — a mount-speed buff that remains useful through the leveling stretch and into level 60 utility builds.

The optional Gahz'rilla encounter requires the Mallet of Zul'Farrak (a quest chain reward) and unlocks a water elemental boss kill in the troll city's central pool. Most full clears include Gahz'rilla on request.
