Silent Assassin Armor Run Overview
The Silent Assassin Armor boost hands a Rogue character the full Challenge Mode transmog set from Mists of Pandaria Classic. Nine dungeons, one Gold timer each, and an 8-piece armor reward that only Rogues can wear. The set is class-locked at the appearance level, so it never shows up on any other character, and that exclusivity is the reason the look has stayed popular long after the original Challenge Mode season closed in Retail. In Pandaria Classic the timers, the rewards, and the meta achievement all come back live, which means a Rogue running today gets the same goal that pushers chased the first time around.
Our Rogue-specialist boosters cover all nine dungeons on the Gold timer in one campaign: Temple of the Jade Serpent, Stormstout Brewery, Shado-Pan Monastery, Mogu'shan Palace, Gate of the Setting Sun, Siege of Niuzao Temple, Scarlet Halls, Scarlet Monastery, and Scholomance. Each Gold medal feeds into Challenge Conqueror: Gold, and clearing the ninth one is what triggers the armor mail, the title, the egg, and the teleports all at once. Gear is normalized inside Challenge Modes, so the run is about cooldown timing and pull order, not ilvl. Self-Play is supported on every realm if you want to learn the routes; Piloted is supported if you want the package to land while you do something else.
The 8-Piece Silent Assassin Set
The full transmog is laid out below. Every piece is Rogue-only and only enters the loot pool after the Gold meta unlocks. Items can be delivered through the Golden Chest of the Silent Assassin or by direct in-game mail, depending on how the order is configured at delivery.
| Item Slot | Item Name |
| Head | Hood of the Silent Assassin |
| Shoulder | Spaulders of the Silent Assassin |
| Chest | Shadowwrap of the Silent Assassin |
| Waist | Girdle of the Silent Assassin |
| Legs | Leggings of the Silent Assassin |
| Feet | Tabi of the Silent Assassin |
| Wrist | Bracers of the Silent Assassin |
| Hands | Gloves of the Silent Assassin |
The look reads as a stalker's kit, all dark hood, masked face, and bound wraps, and it leans hard into the assassin fantasy that the Rogue class has carried since vanilla. Because the appearance is gated behind a timed completion rather than a drop, no amount of farming a single boss will produce it; the whole Gold meta has to land for the chest to appear in the mailbox.
Rewards Beyond the Armor Set
Gold completions are rich on extras. The 85 Valor per Gold medal adds up across nine dungeons and feeds straight into the Mists of Pandaria gear upgrade system, which is useful if the character is also working on raid progression on the side. The dungeon teleports are spellbook entries that stick with the character permanently, so even after the boost wraps, the Rogue keeps a one-click ride to every Challenge Mode dungeon entrance. That alone trims a lot of travel time off any future farming, alt funneling, or pet battle routes that pass through Pandaria.
The Ancestral Phoenix Egg is the headline cosmetic add-on. It is a Feat of Strength item tied to the Gold meta and produces the Ancestral Phoenix flying mount, which sits on a very short list of mounts not available from a vendor, a drop, or a reputation grind. The Undaunted title rounds out the package and gets used in profile views and group finder listings well after the run is done. Stack all of these on top of the armor and the run pays out three trophies at once: title, mount, and full transmog.
If the goal is the broader Challenge Mode push and not the Rogue look specifically, our Challenge Mode Gold Bundle covers the meta for any class with the same 9-dungeon Gold sweep. Players who already have the assassin look and want a second class set can pair this order with a MoP Elemental Triad Regalia run on a caster alt for the Shaman version of the same reward path.
Picking the Method and Booking the Slot
Two completion methods are on the table. Piloted is the default: a Rogue specialist from BuyTheWin signs in, executes the nine Gold runs on your character, and signs out when the mail lands. Self-Play keeps you in the seat across all nine dungeons; the booster group covers tank, healer, and the other two DPS spots, and you slot in as the fourth DPS in your own Rogue body. Both work on every realm. Self-Play is the route to pick if you want to learn the timer routes well enough to do them again later; Piloted is the route to pick if the goal is just the chest in the mailbox at the end.
Scheduling is flexible because Challenge Modes have no lockout, so a full Gold sweep can land in one weekend or stretch across a couple of evenings. The Rogue requirement and the prior Heroic clear are the only hard prerequisites; everything else is configurable at checkout. Once the order is locked in, the manager builds the route order around the easiest timers first to keep momentum, and the harder dungeons land toward the end of the run when the team is dialed in. The whole thing closes with the Silent Assassin chest landing in your mailbox and the title, mount, and teleports settled on the character.
