Escalation Campaign Boost Overview
The Escalation Campaign is the Mists of Pandaria Classic story chain that gates Battlefield: Barrens — the world event tied to the assault on Garrosh's Horde forces. Without completing the campaign, characters can't enter Battlefield: Barrens, which locks them out of the world boss rotation and the related world rewards. The boost runs the full quest chain on your character so the gate opens by the next reset.
The campaign itself is a multi-step questline with intermediate scenarios. The reward at the end is a pair of epic 502 item level boots tuned to your armor type — useful catch-up gear for the character that hasn't pushed into raid lockouts yet. The campaign also unlocks Phase 4 rewards across the rest of the storyline content tied to the Pandaria endgame patches.
What the Campaign Delivers
The 502 ilvl boots are the headline gear reward. They drop in your armor type — cloth, leather, mail, or plate — so the slot is filled cleanly. The boots are catch-up tier gear, meaning they're competitive with the early-tier Heroic raid drops and the Celestial dungeon loot, but they don't require a raid lockout to land.
Battlefield: Barrens access is the systemic unlock. Once the campaign is complete, the world event opens on your character, which means access to the Battlefield: Barrens world bosses and the associated reward chain. Side loot from the campaign — gold, currency drops, and miscellaneous items picked up during the quest steps — stays on your character.

Do I need to be at any specific zone or phase before booking?
Level 90 is the floor for the campaign. Beyond that, the Escalation Campaign assumes general Pandaria progression — your character should have access to the main continent and the late-tier Pandaria zones. The campaign chain itself is self-contained once those prerequisites are in place, and the booster handles the in-zone movement and quest steps.
Are the 502 boots tradable?
The boots are character-bound on the standard Mists of Pandaria Classic loot rule for quest rewards. They deliver to the character that completes the campaign and stay on that character permanently. Other alts on the account would need to run their own Escalation Campaign to receive their own copy of the boots.
What happens after Battlefield: Barrens unlocks?
Battlefield: Barrens becomes accessible on your character as a world event with its own boss rotation and quest chain. The campaign boost only handles the campaign and the boots — Battlefield: Barrens itself can be run separately at your own pace, or it can be added to the order as a separate request if you want the world event content covered too.
