The Ancestral Phoenix Egg is the meta-achievement reward for clearing every Mists of Pandaria Classic dungeon on the Silver Challenge Mode tier. Silver is the middle Challenge Mode tier — tighter than Bronze on the timer, more forgiving than Gold. The boost runs all nine Silver clears so the egg lands on your character, the meta achievement signs off, and the Phoenix mount choice opens.
The egg itself is the deliverable. Once on your character, it exchanges at the in-game vendor for any one of four Phoenix mount variants — Crimson Pandaren Phoenix, Ashen Pandaren Phoenix, Emerald Pandaren Phoenix, or Violet Pandaren Phoenix. Each variant is the same model in a different color, so the choice is purely aesthetic. The mount learns into your collection account-wide once you make the exchange.
The Silver Tier Clear
Nine dungeons sit in the Challenge Mode rotation: Temple of the Jade Serpent, Stormstout Brewery, Gate of the Setting Sun, Shado-Pan Monastery, Siege of Niuzao Temple, Mogu'shan Palace, Scholomance, Scarlet Halls, and Scarlet Monastery. Every dungeon needs a Silver-tier finish for the meta to fire. Single missed timers don't break the chain; the booster just resets and runs the dungeon again until Silver sticks.
The Silver tier sits between Bronze (easiest) and Gold (toughest) on the Challenge Mode timer system. Bronze is forgiving enough that most groups can clear it casually; Gold demands tight pull execution; Silver is the middle ground that rewards careful play without requiring sub-second cooldown timing. How long do the nine Silver dungeon runs take?

Pacing depends on which dungeons go fastest at the booked schedule and whether any dungeons need a reset for a missed timer. The order is guaranteed completion regardless of timer slips.
Does the boost require Heroic dungeon completions first?
Yes. The Challenge Mode entry requires the corresponding dungeon to be unlocked on Heroic difficulty for the character first. If the character doesn't have all nine Heroic dungeon completions yet, the Heroic prerequisites can be added to the order so they're handled before the Silver runs begin.
